Dave DeFronzo, ASA, CFA, ABV is a Vice President in the Valuation and Advisory Services practice at Teknos Associates. He specializes in the valuation of privately held businesses, complex financial instruments, and alternative investments for financial reporting, tax compliance, and strategic planning purposes.
Dave brings deep expertise in capital markets and has led hundreds of valuation engagements across a wide range of industries. His work is frequently used in connection with ASC 718, IRC 409A, ASC 820, ASC 805, and ASC 350. Prior to joining Teknos, Dave was an Associate in the Strategy & Transactions group at Grant Thornton LLP. His earlier experience includes roles at Priority Capital, Wolfe Research, Eaton Vance Management, and State Street Corporation.
Dave holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation in Business Valuation, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, and is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the AICPA. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, graduating summa cum laude.
