Neil Thakur is a Managing Director in the valuation and advisory services practice at Teknos. He has significant experience completing thousands of engagements involving strategic and pre-deal analyses, fairness and capital adequacy opinions, venture and corporate holdings valuations, stock valuations for tax and financial reporting, and complex securities valuations.
Prior to joining Teknos, Neil completed valuation and financial reporting work as an Associate at Pagemill Partners. His work experience also includes Associate and Manager positions with the valuation and litigation support firms Desmond, Marcello & Amster and FMV Opinions, where he completed valuation projects for corporate planning, loss of goodwill, private equity transactions, and gift and estate tax purposes. Neil’s experience also includes a corporate finance role with Grosvenor, an international investment firm, and an Analyst position in the technology investment banking group of ABN AMRO.
Neil received a BA in Economics from Yale University.
Neil holds the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) granted by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). In 2014 he was named a 40 Under 40 Honoree by NACVA. Neil also was a former member of the California Board of Legal Specialization for The State Bar of California. Neil has specialized experience across several verticals including the Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, Life Sciences, Esports, and Gaming industries. He also is an active participant on expert industry panels at various cryptocurrency and blockchain related conferences.
